Ok not the best I have read before. Was time consumer during long air flight. Don't understand whay the hell you need all this.
Excellent reading of a true account. History buffs would enjoy especially.
I learned points of view I'd not before known.
I found this historic account interesting and informative. Unfortunately not many Americans care to learn about the American Indians. Not much if any information taught in school.
This is the fourth Eastman book I've read and is just as good as the other three.
All four book are excellent historical works. But this one, in particular, is pleasing because of the biography of Eastman at the beginning of the book. Having read the previous three books, it was a real pleasure to find out something about the author.
Like the other Eastman books I've read, Indian Heroes and Great Chieftans, Wigwam Evenings Sioux Folk Tales Retold, and The Soul of the Indian, this book, The Indian Today The Past and Future... combines Eastman's own personal experience growing up on a reservation and his astute observations of the people and times he witnessed in his lifetime.
Another great piece of writing for anyone interested in the history of the red race in America and their unfortunate encounters with those who displaced them.
